Furniture maker has designs on unit
A maker of bespoke furniture has acquired a factory/warehouse unit on a popular business centre at Old Sarum, near Salisbury.
Property consultancy Myddelton & Major has successfully negotiated the letting of Unit 8, Portway Business Centre at Castlegate Business Park, to The Mullen Furniture Mill.
Quoting rent for the 1,039 sq ft (96.52 sq m) property was £7,500 per annum and a six-year lease was agreed.
Myddelton
& Major Partner Dean Speer said: “Russell Mullen designs and makes
kitchens, wardrobes, entertainment units and all other types of
bespoke furniture, both fitted and free standing.
“He lived and worked in London as a cabinet maker for eight years, before
moving to Salisbury and setting up his own cabinet making business in 2013,
based in Gomeldon, and it was a privilege facilitating this letting for him.”
The Portway Business Centre is situated on the Castlegate Business Park at Old Sarum approximately one-and-a-half miles north of Salisbury and adjacent to Old Sarum Airfield.
The A303 lies approximately nine miles to the north at Amesbury. Access is provided by a roundabout off The Portway, which links to the A345 Salisbury to Amesbury road.
Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2018 for the seventh year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online magazine of the UK commercial property industry.
