Curtains firm drawn to new HQ
A family-run curtains business has expanded into prominent premises on a popular business park off Salisbury’s busy Southampton Road.
Creative Curtains has moved to Unit 37 at the Clarendon Centre in a deal brokered by property consultancy Myddelton & Major.
The passing rent for the 1,633 sq ft (151.71 sq m) warehouse/showroom premises was £12,950 per annum and Creative Curtains has been assigned an existing 10-year lease from 2016.
Myddelton & Major Partner Dean Speer said: “Established in 1997, Creative Curtains in Salisbury is an independent family run business, specialising in bespoke curtains, blinds, pelmets and soft furnishings.
“Many of the firm’s products are very much ‘made in Salisbury’ as they are handcrafted in Creative Curtains’ in-house studio by an experienced team to ensure a high-quality finish.
“The business has relocated from elsewhere in Southampton Road and I was delighted to be able to help facilitate these new extensive showroom premises for this respected local company.
“Deals such as this show continuing confidence in the market as the economy continues to adapt to current circumstances.”
The Clarendon Centre is situated in a prime position with a major frontage to the A36 Southampton Road on the southern edge of the city.
Other occupiers include Sally Hair & Beauty, ITSS and Plumbase.
Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2019 for the eighth year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online magazine of the UK commercial property industry.
