Stonehenge firm plumbs in new base
A long-established plumbing and heating business has expanded into a new base near Amesbury.
Stonehenge Plumbing and Heating Ltd has acquired Unit 3 at the Stonehenge Depot on Stonehenge Road, Durrington, in a deal brokered by property consultancy Myddelton & Major.
Quoting rent for the 1,635 sq ft (151.89 sq m) industrial/warehouse unit was £8,700 per annum with an existing lease being assigned.
Myddelton & Major Commercial Agency Surveyor Gary Mead said: “Stonehenge Plumbing and Heating was founded a decade ago as RJA Plumbing and Heating with owner Robbie Newton changing the name in 2015 when limited company status was achieved.
“The expanding company, which currently has nine engineers and five office staff, is very much still family run and recently completed its 15,000th job.
“Robbie, who also raises thousands of pounds for the company’s official partnered charity the Salisbury District Hospitals Stars Appeal through gruelling treks, was seeking new premises and we were delighted to help facilitate the change.”
The property comprises a workshop/warehouse building with ground and first floor offices and is situated on the southern edge of the village, close to the Stonehenge roundabout junction of the A345 and A3028. Amesbury is three miles south.
Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2017 for the sixth year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online magazine of the UK commercial property industry.
