Offices down by the riverside
A business working in the educational field has taken office space at a leafy business park close to the River Nadder in Salisbury.
Wessex Partnership Trust has snapped up the two-storey Unit 2, Boathouse Meadow Business Park, in a deal brokered by property consultancy Myddelton & Major.
Quoting rent for the 815 sq ft (75.71 sq m) mid-terrace premises was £11,000 per annum and Wessex Partnership Trust, which works in both primary and secondary education, has agreed a six-year lease.
Myddelton & Major Surveyor Gary Mead said: “Boathouse Meadows is a popular business park on the outskirts of Salisbury city centre and it is easy to see why offices there attract strong interest.
“It was built in 1989 at the western end of Churchfields Industrial Estate and benefits from excellent access to the city centre, railway station and inner ring road.
“With the proximity of the river and water meadows helping to create an ideal working environment, the units there have been attracting businesses seeking a modern, well-planned and self-contained office space on the fringe of the city centre, in a unique location.
Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2019 for the eighth year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online magazine of the UK commercial property industry.
