Local garage building new base
Well-known van sales and servicing firm Ricky Fenby Ltd is branching out by building new premises on a fast growing business park in Frome
The company, based at Frome’s Marston Trading Estate, has bought land at Commerce Park and construction work on a new workshop/MOT centre has already started.
This follows property consultancy Myddelton & Major successfully negotiating the sale of Plot C2 at Southgate on the popular park to long-established business.
Myddelton & Major Partner Philip Holford said: “The site has been purchased by R and S Fenby to develop a 5,000 sq ft workshop/MOT testing premises, with associated compound for their van sales business.
“This not only shows great confidence in the industry at this crucial time, but once again demonstrates how major businesses are buying land to design and construct purpose-built industrial units to their exact specification.
“Commerce Park is the region’s fastest growing mixed use business park, offering serviced development land for employment and roadside uses, design and build and new business units. “
The 64 acre business park is now a well-established and popular location for small to large scale occupiers. It is conveniently located fronting the A361 bypass to the north east of Frome town centre.
Frome is situated in a strategic location on the Somerset/Wiltshire borders with excellent road and rail access to major networks. The M4 is accessed via the A36 or the A350 and Frome Railway station offers direct mainline services. Bristol Airport is approximately 30 miles away.
Commerce Park is located midway between the M4, M5 and A303 corridors just two miles south of the junction of the A36 and A361 (Frome Bypass). It is around 14 miles south of Bath and 13 miles from the A303.
Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2018 for the seventh year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online magazine of the UK commercial property industry.
