Eighth wonder for Myddelton & Major
Expanding property consultancy Myddelton & Major has won a prestigious award for the eighth year in a row.
The Salisbury-based firm covering the central southern region has once again won the title of Most Active Agency in Wiltshire.
Deals covering more than 440,000 sq ft of commercial and in-excess of 190 transactions helped Myddelton & Major retain the title yet again.
Freehold sales totalled more than £21 million and the rent roll amounted to just under £2 million.
The top award came from Estates Gazette, the respected national online and weekly publication covering the whole of the UK commercial property industry.
The 2019 EGi success was based on the number of retail, office and industrial deals completed across the county during the past year.
The long-established firm’s Wiltshire commercial agency team are surveyors Philip Holford, Dean Speer, Simon Lee, Rachael Wythe, Gary Mead, and administrator Jody Williams.

Successful deals have included a new development at Rockhaven Business Centre on the West Wilts Trading Estate at Westbury, a major new centre for SMEs at Warminster Business Park, new phases at the Bluestone Centre on Amesbury’s giant Solstice Park and development at Sarum Point, Old Sarum.
There were also many deals in the Myddelton & Major heartland, including Salisbury’s Churchfields Industrial Estate and Harnham Trading Estate, Barnack Boathouse Meadows, Salisbury, Chaldicott Barns at Semley, Wyndham Business Centre at Tisbury and Wilton Shopping Village.
Salisbury city centre business has also picked up with a significant numbers of retail lettings, including High Street, Butcher Row, New Street, Milford Street, Castle Street New Street, Cross Keys House and New Canal.
The award is for the most of the transactions were in Wiltshire, around Salisbury/Amesbury, but Myddelton & Major also acted on commercial properties in in Dorset, in West Hampshire and across Somerset, particularly at Commerce Park, Frome.
