The former York Roast restaurant premises at the heart of Salisbury city centre has been snapped up by a pizza outlet.
Property consultancy Myddelton & Major has successfully negotiated the letting of 4 Butcher Row to nole pizza.
Quoting rent for the 567 sq ft (52.67 sq m) property was £33,500 per annum and nole pizza has agreed a 10-year lease.
Myddelton & Major Partner Dean Speer said: “The former York Roast Co. restaurant, which closed in August 2019, is to enjoy a new lease of life as a new food outlet selling sourdough pizza.
“I am so pleased to see new food businesses opening in the city centre as it shows confidence is returning to Salisbury, despite the current uncertain conditions due to Covid-19.”
The property, which has the benefit of Class A3 (café/restaurant) in place, is in a prominent position fronting Butcher Row, which forms part of the city’s primary shopping core, forming a pedestrian link between Silver Street and Queen Street.

We’ve had the most unbelievably fun start to life at our other little pizza shop in Wilton so cannot wait to open our doors on the market square. Starting anything during a pandemic presents complications, but the local area has a history of getting behind one another during times of crisis, and we just want to keep everyone fed whilst they’re doing so!”
Diagonally opposite the pedestrian link to New Canal, it sits with other nearby occupiers including Reeve the Baker, Army Recruiting Centre, White Stuff, Whittard, L’Occitane, Jaeger and Costa.
The premises comprise a ground floor retail unit with an open-plan sales area benefitting from dual frontages and separate customer entrances from both Butcher Row and Ox Row/Market Place.
