Welcome return for city shop
Independent home accessories retailer Forever England has reopened in a new Salisbury location following a deal brokered by city property consultancy Myddelton & Major.
The shop’s new centrally-located home is a 521 sq ft (48.40 sq m) character shop premises at 28 Butcher Row, for which quoting rent was £30,000 per annum on a new 10-year lease.
Myddelton & Major Partner Simon Lee said: “Forever England, named after a line in the Rupert Brooke First World War poem The Soldier, was founded in Sidmouth, Devon, in 1997 and first opened in Salisbury in 2009.
“I was delighted to help owners James Thomas and Katie Powell find another city location after their previous shop in New Canal closed just after Christmas.
“Forever England provides an excellent range of individual home accessories, giftware and bedding and the shop’s return to Salisbury in particularly apt period premises is hugely welcome at this time.”
The prime retail unit fronting a busy pedestrian area which forms part of the city’s primary shopping core, forming a pedestrian link between Silver Street and Queen Street and with a return frontage to Ox Row, facing on to the Market Place.
Other occupiers trading close by include Tiger, Patisserie Valerie, Goldsmiths, Timpson, Ernest Jones and Shoe Zone.
