Café bar to beef up food and drink on offer in city’s Butcher Row

A new café bar business is set to breathe new life into a prominent Salisbury City Centre property.

Property consultancy Myddelton & Major has successfully negotiated the letting of a retail unit in Butcher Row on a new 10-year lease at a quoting rent of £39,950 per year.

Myddelton & Major Partner Simon Lee said: “The new tenant, Stones Café Bar Ltd, is an established local business operator and the café bar will add vitality to this prominent building.

“The property fronts Butcher Row which forms part of the City’s primary shopping core.

“It’s also diagonally opposite the pedestrian link to New Canal and the Old George Mall Shopping Centre.”

The building’s previous occupant was Patisserie Valerie. The Salisbury branch was one of 27 that closed earlier this year.

Other occupiers trading close by include The Ox Row pub, Costa Coffee, Vision Express, Goldsmiths, Ernest Jones and Tiger.

The ground floor retail unit has a full-width glazed frontage to Butcher Row and return frontage to Ox Row, adjacent to the Market Square, together with a basement storage area and a first-floor kitchen.
