Cancer charity’s new home in city
A national cancer charity has taken up the lease of a shop in the heart of Salisbury.
Property consultancy Myddelton & Major has successfully negotiated the letting of a retail unit on Catherine Street on a new 10-year lease at a quoting rent of £27,500 per year, acting as joint sub-agents with the landlord’s managing agent Messrs Julian Adams.
Myddelton & Major Partner Simon Lee said: “The shop’s new occupants are Cancer Research UK, an established national charity who were looking to relocate to larger and more prominent premises in Salisbury.
“The property is in a busy trading position in the heart of the city centre fronting Catherine Street between the junctions with New Canal and pedestrian access to Old George Mall and the public car park in Brown Street.
“The premises comprises a ground floor shop unit with a net sales area of 1200 sq ft (111.48 sq m) and ancillary ground floor storage, together with additional staff kitchen and a private office on the first floor.
“Cancer Research UK’s near neighbours in the Catherine Street include In Toto Kitchens, Barnardo’s, Sarum Books, Oxfam, Shuropody and Traveller’s World.”
Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2019 for the eighth year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online magazine of the UK commercial property industry.
