Turkish barbers is a cut above
A new Turkish barbers has set up shop in the centre of Amesbury.
This follows the letting of 19 Salisbury Street in a deal brokered by property consultancy Myddelton & Major on behalf of Connells Residential.
Quoting rent for the 459 sq ft shop was £15,000 per year and Mr D Gazi agreed a sub-lease expiring in 2021.
Myddelton & Major Partner Simon Lee said: “There is a growing trend towards the traditional Turkish barbers and I was pleased to help facilitate this opening – and Amesbury has welcomed this new outlet.
“Antalya Traditional Turkish barbers offers a range of services from haircuts, trims, shaves, waxing and more, using a variety of different traditional and modern Turkish methods.”
The property – most recently The Salisbury Sausage Shop – is in a prime town centre trading position, opposite Salisbury Street’s junction with Flower Lane and close to the town’s Central Car Park. Nearby traders include Connells, Co-operative Food, Boots, Original Factory Shop, Fox & Sons, Nationwide and Aldi.
The shop has a full-width glazed display frontage and central double entrance doors leading to an open-plan sales area. There is also a kitchenette and WC, together with a 702 sq ft external rear store.”
Amesbury is a market town nine miles north of Salisbury, serving the day-to-day shopping needs of a resident population of 10,724 and a district population of approximately 27,000.
Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2018 for the seventh year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online magazine of the UK commercial property industry.
